2012 News
Janurary 16th & 17th- Amber attended the USDF FEI-Level Trainers' Conference at High Meadow Farm in Loxahatchee, FL. The conference was headed by Christoph Hess, FEI "I" judge, as the presenter of two days of in-depth, systematic training for horse and rider. Evening lectures were presented by Dr. Hilary Clayton and Christoph Hess. Mr. Hess shared his compassion for the horse and encouraged the trainers in attendance to be patient leaders when schooling all horses. He was adamant that every horse from green to Grand Prix must be ridden in a stretching frame every day.

November 10-12- Amber attended the 2011 Young Dressage Horse Trainer's Symposium. It was once again hosted by Harmony Sport horses and Hassler Dressage in Chesapeake City, MD at the fantastic Riveredge facility. This year's guest instructor was Steffen Peters. Steffen and Scott Hassler shared their passion and experience with the group of enthusiastic trainers over a period of three days. The symposium focused on the training of top quality dressage horses from ages three to seven.

May 2011- Read Amber's article, Finding Mr. (or Ms.) Right, in the spring edition of Florida Sporthorse Magazine
May 14th & 15th-Amber and AJ Stapleton's FPS Forrte had a blue ribbon weekend at Canterbury's May Days dressage show. Forrte won all three of his third level classes with scores to 66% ending the weekend with the Third Level High Point award.
April 17th- Amber has donated two lessons to the Horses Helping Horses clinic to benefit the Horse Protection Association of Florida. The clinic will be held at Canterbury Showplace in Newberry, FL. For more information go to www.arredondodressage.org

Fall 2010- Read Amber's article, Money Matters, in the Fall edition of Florida Sporthorse Magazine
November 19-21- Amber attended the Young Dressage Horse Trainer's Symposium held in Chesapeake City, MD. The event was hosted by Harmony Sport Horses and Hassler Dressage at the beautiful new Riveredge facility. Young horse masters, Ingo Pape and Ulf Moller were the clinicians for the weekend.
October 3-4- USDF dressage show, Canterbury Showplace, Newberry, FL. Attended with AJ Stapleton's Trakehner gelding FPS Forrte (Beaujolais II x Hailo *Pg*E*) and Amber's Dutch gelding, Zamboni (Contango x Gentleman). Forrte recieved up to 66% at Third level. Zamboni showed at First level to 64%.
July 30-31- Amber and AJ Stapleton's gelding, FPS Forrte, attended a Herwig Radnetter clinic. The lessons were held at Valhalla Farm near Lake City, Florida. Mr. Radnetter is from the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Austria. He is an insightful instructor, always keeping the very basic elements of dressage at the forefront of his teaching . Throughout the lessons he stressed the importance of a light playful contact from the rider and forward movement from the horse.
